Natoora French Agen Prunes 200g

by Natoora
¥3,143

Our grower harvests in August once the fruit has reached perfect ripeness, when their natural sugars are fully developed. Once harvested, the plums are then washed and dried for twenty hours, concentrating flavor in their dense flesh. These prunes are entirely natural: without dye or preservatives. Their stone (intact) is essential to preserving their flavor and texture. We have developed our own revolutionary packaging which is entirely plastic-free and home disposable. Each of our recyclable cardboard punnets is flow-wrapped with home-compostable film which, unlike traditional plastic flow-wrap, disintegrates within 180 days. Dispose of the black punnet in your normal recycling and the clear film in your food waste bin.

We were really disappointed with our recent purchase of Agen prunes from British Essentials. The skin were as tough as leather, and they were very dry, despite soaking for several days.
This was all the more disappointing because, some years ago, we had visited the Agen prune farm in France, and purchased their prunes to bring back home, and they were delicious. All this disappointment for a cost in excess of £19.00, including delivery charge.
All in all, not a good experience, or introduction to British Essentials.
